Re the British Screen Advisory Council's call for a 'British Silicon Valley' for the creative industries, while I of course welcome any initiative that facilitates the creation of intellectual property in the UK, I wonder whether trying to pump-prime one or two geographical areas is too deterministic a solution. I'd rather we created an economic, regulatory and educational climate that fosters creativity then allow the market to determine where such businesses should flourish.
